The Women's Fund of Western Massachusetts promotes social change through:

• grantmaking, in our encouragement of organizations both small and large to develop ways to strengthen the impact of their services and programs
  
  
• advocacy, in our public sponsorships, statements, and positions on issues affecting the lives of girls, women, and their communities
  
  
• collaboration, in our deliberate actions to create models of yoking interests, expertise, resources, and personnel in addressing community needs as well as opportunities
  
  
• leadership development, in our formation and financial support of strategic affiliations
  
  
• recognition, in our public acknowledgment of women and girls who are already giving back to their communities
