Artistic expression and social action come together in the darkroom and in the community through our GirlsEyeView programs in Ware and Amherst. GirlsEyeView is an empowerment project for young women that incorporates photography, creative writing, leadership development, and social action. GEV raises the voices of young women in our community to new heights, offering them a safe space to dialogue with peers and adult allies, create artwork that speaks to their concerns and disseminate this work through school and community exhibits and events. GEV nurtures leaders and activists. GEV builds community.
