Make a difference!
The Women's Fund of Western Massachusetts has public charity, nontaxable, 501(c)(3) status in the United States. We rely on the support of many generous individuals, foundations, and corporations. Contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Women Will is our Planned Giving Program designed to provide new and creative opportunities for women to give to the Women's Fund of Western Massachusetts. Through this program, women who believe in the Fund's mission and recognize the positive impact of the Fund's work in our communities seek to make the Women's Fund part of their enduring legacy by including us in their will or estate plan. In turn, their gift becomes part of our endowment and a gift to generations to come.

Making a charitable gift through your will or estate plan may let you support the Women's Fund more significantly than you could during your lifetime. You may realize the potential of your philanthropy through any of the following options:

  Appreciated Assets
Gifts of assets bring many benefits to the donor.

  Bequests
There are several ways of gifting through your will.

  Life Income Gifts
A gift to the Women's Fund that allows you to receive income.

  Life Insurance
Its flexibility makes it possible for you to make a meaningful gift.

  Retirement Assets
Maximize the value of your gift while minimizing your taxable income.

  Trusts
There are many types to make the most of the legacy you've created.

To determine what works best for you and your family, contact your financial advisor, family attorney or accountant.

Women Moving Millions
You may wish to give a legacy through Women Moving Millions, a partnership between an extraordinary group of visionary donors, the Women's Funding Network and its member funds. At the heart of this new initiative is the belief that an investment in a woman is an investment in her family and ultimately her community and her nation—women's funds catalyze this powerful chain reaction to forge the building blocks for a more just and sustainable world.

Through this historic campaign, women are funding women at bold new levels—millions of dollars—making the leap from giving charitably to investing strategically in women, first and foremost. Investments of $1 million or more can be given to a single Women's Funding Network member fund (such as the Women's Fund of Western Massachusetts), several member funds, the Women's Funding Network, or a combination of your choice.

Making a significant investment in women and girls is a life-changing experience. To optimize your experience, you can choose the type of gift that is right for you. Based on a dialogue with your women's fund beneficiaries of choice, many options are available, which may include:

  • Cash
  • Publicly traded securities such as stocks, bonds and mutual fund shares
  • Unencumbered assets than can be immediately liquidated; for example, real estate
  • Planned investments such as bequests, IRA or retirement plans, life income arrangements, charitable lead annuities, Unitrusts or life insurance policies.

To determine what works best for you and your family, contact your financial advisor, family attorney, or accountant.
