Eligibility Requirements:
- Grant applicants must have 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status through their organization or sponsoring agency.
- Grant applications for direct service must be for work designed specifically for, and only serving, women and/or girls.
- Grant applications that seek to impact policies or systems must be for activities that involve, are led by, or are designed by women and/or girls.
- Grant applications must be for work located within the four counties of Western Massachusetts.
The Women's Fund does NOT fund:
- Individuals or scholarships
- Capital campaigns
- Campaigns to elect public officials
- Work that promotes a particular religion
- Programs/events that will be completed before June 30, 2009
- Organizations inconsistent with federal, state, and local non-discrimination ordinances regarding employment opportunity or access to services
Current and Previous Grantees
Organizations funded in previous years are eligible to apply for operating support as well as program and capacity building grants. Mid-Year and Final Reports of current and previous grantees will be considered as part of the application process. Current grantee mid-year reports are due with this application, if re-applying. In order to increase opportunities for more organizations, past grantees that have received cumulative funding of five or more years are not eligible to apply for funds for at least one year.
