The NoVo Foundation also supports a specific strategic plan to scale the adoption of evidence-based Social and Emotional Learning in US School districts in pursuit of advancing whole child education. The Eileen Fisher store in Northampton chose the Women’s Fund as the recipient of its Fall shopping day, generously contributing 10% of the day’s proceeds in support of the foundation’s work. Your Women's Fund of Western Massachusetts joined women's funds across the country, all participating in this wonderful partnership with Eileen Fisher and her stores nationwide! Annual Golf Classic July 25, 2011 Hickory Ridge Country Club Amherst, MA This year's golf tournament was a wonderful success thanks to both our sponsors and participants! With LPGA Pro Marisa Kulig and two-time Olympic Medalist Mary Ellen Clark offering skills to enhance technique coupled with expert instruction from Lynn Oberbilling, this year's play was as skillful as it was fun. Leadership Institute for Political Impact Graduation June 8, 2011 Northampton, MA A new wave of leadership emerged in Western Massachusetts as the first women of our Leadership Institute for Political Impact graduated and were honored alongside Northampton Mayor Clare Higgins. Melancholy Play WAM Theatre November 12-21, 2010 NEW STAGE Performing Arts Center Pittsfield, MA The Women's Fund was thrilled to be the first local beneficiary for WAM Theatre's first full production of a play by a female playwright. The show was a great success and received rave reviews! Information Technology and Nonprofits 101 Brown Bag Workshop November 18, 2010 Women's Fund Office Cheryl Kiras, MMPA and IT specialist, trained attendees to identify low cost tools and tech resources for their organization and to build confidence about their information security. Your Life and Work Balance: Creating Happier and Healthier Workplaces Brown Bag Lunch Workshop October 27, 2010 Women's Fund Office Laurie Shannon, Ph.D., shared her strategies for creating supportive and productive work environments, developed from her research with Fortune 500 companies. D-Cup Diatribes October 20, 2010 CityStage Springfield MA The Women's Fund was chosen as one of the beneficiaries for this hilarious and heartfelt performance of the D-Cup Diatribes. Through six monologues, audiences enjoyed quizzical and quirky tales of our "Cleavage Culture". See the flyer for a full description of the evening. Build the Board of Directors You Need Brown Bag Lunch Workshop September 29, 2010 Women's Fund Office, Easthampton MA Nonprofit leaders learned how to recruit and retain good board members — with the skills, perspectives, backgrounds, and resources that fit their needs. Women's Fund Annual Golf Classic July 26, 2010 Hickory Ridge Country Club Amherst, MA This year's golf tournament was a fantastic success, raising nearly $12,000, despite the challenging economy. Over 125 players gathered to enjoy a day of golf, to support the Women's Fund and to honor Cindy Johnson for her commitment to women's golf in Western Mass.
